Ravnedalen

Beautiful nature park beneath the precipitous Ravneheia. During summer there are frequent concerts, festivals and theathre productions. "Cafe Generalen" is situated here where you can eat homemade hamburgers and other simple meals.

Odderøya

Odderøya

Former island naval base with idyllic paths, small beaches and old canon positions. Here you will find "Kilden teater- og konserthus", a climbing park and concert venues.

The Oslo Opera House (Norwegian: Operahuset) is the home of The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet, and the national opera theatre in Norway. The building is situated in the Bjørvika neighborhood of central Oslo, at the head of the Oslofjord. Even if you do not fancy opera, the building itself is worth a look!

Bystranda

Near the city centre you will find this sandy beach with palms, sun deck and swim pier. The beach is one out of a few beaches in Norway that is awarded with "Blue Flag", which among other things means that the water quality is more than decent.

Aquarama

Situated at the town beach you will find this waterpark, spa and fitness centre. They can offer six different bathing areas, five different water temperatures and surfing with instructor.

Fiskebrygga

By the "entrance" to Odderøya you will find this fish pier with nice restaurants and a lovely atmosphere. You can also pick your own mussels, shrimps, crabs or fish in the fish market. During summer they have live concerts every Tuesday.

Baneheia

You can see the start of Baneheia from the hotel. There are several hiking oppurtunities on ramling paths and lighted trails. Go for a swim in one of the three "stamper" or try out your fish luck in the same lakes. From some of the looking points you will have a great view over the city centre and the fjord.

Dyreparken

Norways most frequently visited attraction! The park is divided in different themes and you can observe all kinds of animals from the scandinavian wilderness to more exotic animals like lions and elephants. Besides all the animals there is also a wide variety of amusement attractions, as well as shows to attend. The integrated aqua park contains several pools and water slides. From the hotel you can catch a bus which will take you to the park in less than 20 minutes.

Markens

Markens gate

The main street in Kristiansand is called Markens gate and is located right around the corner from the hotel. It stretches through the whole city centre, starting from right outside our door to the harbour where you will find Fiskebrygga, Bystranda, Odderøya and so on. In the street you will find several different shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.
